January 30, 2015, Ann Arbor, Michigan – Oberon Technologies, a leading provider of innovative IT solutions for creating, sharing and delivering information, has been selected to present two presentations at the DITA North America 2015 conference, the premier content management event of the year.
As part of the Technical Solutions track, “It’s All in the Delivery – Giving Customers the Content They Want” will be presented by Joe Jenkins, Vice President, of Oberon Technologies. It will be held on Tuesday, April 21st, from 1:30pm to 2:10pm.
The presentation, “It’s All in the Delivery – Giving Customers the Content They Want,” will outline the components of an Intelligent Content Delivery System and the benefits it can yield to both the content owners and their customers. Attendees will learn how to leverage DITA and an Intelligent Content Delivery System to take advantage of new content delivery channels, create new content offerings and deliver content that is highly targeted, personalized, dynamic, and interactive.
As part of the Emerging Technologies track, “Stay Calm and Specialize your Content Model” will be presented by Chris Nitchie, Lead Program Developer at Oberon Technologies and a voting member of the DITA technical committee. It will be held on Tuesday, April 21st, from 10:35am to 11:15am.
The presentation, “Stay Calm and Specialize your Content Model,” Chris aims to help attendees understand that specialization is not a deviation from the DITA standard, but is actually the way it’s meant to be used. Attendees will learn how specializations work in DITA 1.3 using Relax NG, considerations for when and how to use specializations, and best practices for developing specializations.
“We are excited to be selected for two presentations that will help the audience understand how to use DITA more effectively and leverage it to expand how they are delivering their content,” said Tim Allen, CEO at Oberon Technologies. “By using specializations effectively, organizations can provide an authoring environment that is specific to the business language and requirements to aid authors and improve productivity. Coupling DITA with an Intelligent Content Delivery System will help organizations find new and more effective ways of delivering content to their users to improve customer experience.”
